GoMotion gets 5 stars on About.com:Walking
The Bottom Line
For hands-free night walking, running or hiking, this LED lightbelt is a great solution. It is lightweight and it runs on 3 AA batteries that should last a long time. The front spotlight has three brightness levels, beam width adjustment, and swivels to get the best angle. The rear pack has two red safety flashers. It has two zip pockets for small essentials. I found it less distracting to walk with vs. a headlamp. (more…)

Night Light
For those early-morning or after-dark runs or walks, the GoMotion Sternum Light Kit ($79) will help you see in the dark. Unlike a headlamp, this innovative light rests on your sternum and retrofits to hydration pack or running vest straps. The LED light features three brightness levels and an adjustable beam that you can set at super wide or narrow. Now you can see and be seen when you’re out on the road or trail. Also available as a complete vest (Street Runner $89; Trail Runner $109), or belt ($69). www.gomotioninc.com

Sternum lamp by GoMotion
Head lamps changed the night world of outdoors enthusiasts, but the devices can often provide more angst than help to runners or hikers on the trails in the dark. The center of the chest is more stable than a bobbing head while running. GoMotion’s sternum light ($79, available March 30) provides a powerful and stable light path. It attaches to the straps on your favorite pack. LiteVests and SportBelts are also available. www.gomotioninc.com
